A poker night feels different when the chips on the table carry your own name, logo or club crest. Whether you host a weekly home game, run a poker league or want a unique gift, custom poker chips turn an ordinary set into something that is truly yours. In this guide we explain how to make custom poker chips step by step: which material to choose, how to design the front and back, which values you need, how many chips to order and what happens between your design and the delivery at your door.

Short answer: the easiest way to make your own poker chips is to design them online in our chip designer. Choose a chip style and colours, upload your logo or add text, set the value for every chip and decide whether the back gets its own design. Our custom ceramic poker chips are made of casino-grade ceramic with full-colour, edge-to-edge printing, you can order from just 10 chips, and from 300 chips there are no production costs. Our team checks every design before production, and the estimated time for production and delivery is about 15 working days.

What are custom poker chips and who are they for?

Custom poker chips (also called custom casino chips or personalised casino chips) are chips with your own design: a logo, a name, your own artwork, your own chip values or simply your favourite colours. Popular uses are:

  • Home games: a set with your name or your group's nickname that nobody else has.
  • Poker clubs and leagues: chips with the club logo and fixed values that match your blind structure.
  • Tournaments and charity events: chips in your event branding, optionally with an invisible UV stamp as security.
  • Corporate events: a casino night with your company logo on every chip.
  • Gifts: a personalised poker set for a birthday, a wedding or a retirement.

Custom poker chips materials: ceramic, clay or clay composite?

The material decides how much of the chip you can design. We make custom chips in three materials:

Ceramic Clay with sticker Clay composite with sticker
What you design The whole chip, edge to edge, front and back The centre sticker; the chip mould is fixed The centre sticker; the chip mould is fixed
Chip colours Any colour, including your own HEX code Wide range of mould colours Wide range of mould colours
Size and weight 39.5 mm, 10 g (up to 55 mm and 19 g) 39.5 × 3.3 mm, 10 g 40 × 3.5 mm, 11.5 to 14 g, metal inlay

For most players ceramic is the best choice. Ceramic chips are printed in full colour from edge to edge, so your logo, values and colours can cover the entire chip, and you can order small quantities. Clay and clay composite chips have a fixed mould in a choice of colours and a custom sticker in the centre. They are only available from 1,000 chips, and we offer ready-made sticker designs based on famous casino chips that you can adjust with your own details.

How to make custom poker chips step by step

With our online chip designer you can design your own poker chips in a few minutes and see the result straight away. These are the steps:

Step 1: choose a chip style

Pick a mould pattern for the edge (15 options, such as Classic, Casino, Club, Dice and Maze) and an inlay ring (10 options, such as Plain, Line, Crown, Laurel and Stars). Short on inspiration? Start from one of the 14 ready-made designs from our best-selling chip series and adjust it.

Step 2: pick your colours

Choose colours from the palette or enter the exact HEX code of your brand colour. The back automatically uses the same mould and chip colours as the front.

In the centre you can place a chip value, a symbol such as €, $ or £, or your own logo. Your logo can sit in the centre or fill the whole chip. Upload it as PNG, JPG, SVG or WEBP, at least 600 × 600 px, ideally with a transparent background. Font and text size are adjustable.

Step 4: add ring text

Add text on the ring around the centre, such as your club name, the event date or a short slogan, and choose the font and size.

Step 5: choose size and weight

The standard chip is 39.5 mm and 10 g. Want a bigger, heavier chip? Choose 43 mm (12 g), 46 mm (13.5 g), 50 mm (16.2 g) or 55 mm (19 g). Every size gets the same full-colour print.

Step 6: design the front and back

By default both sides show the same design. For a small extra per chip, the back can have its own design, for example your logo on the front and the value or a sponsor on the back.

Step 7: add a UV stamp (optional)

For clubs and tournaments that want to prevent fake chips, you can add an invisible UV security stamp with up to two marks. The UV stamp is available from 300 chips in total.

Step 8: set the quantity and order

Enter how many chips you want of this design and add it to the cart. Need several values? Design each chip separately. Every design gets its own line in the cart, and all designs in one order count together for the quantity price.

How many custom chips do you need, and which values?

For most games 30 to 50 chips per player is enough. Count on about 300 chips for up to five players and 500 chips for six to nine players. Larger groups, several tables or tournaments with rebuys need 750 to 1,000 chips. Make sure the lowest value has the most chips, because blinds and small bets use them constantly. Our guide to poker chip values has ready-made distributions for tournaments and cash games that you can copy straight into your design.

Want a complete set in one go? Our custom ceramic poker sets combine your chips with an optional aluminium case, two decks of cards and a dealer button, which you can select or upgrade while you design:

Custom set Chips Best for
Custom Ceramic Poker Set 300 300 Home games up to five players
Custom Ceramic Poker Set 500 500 Six to nine players
Custom Ceramic Poker Set 750 750 Large groups and deeper stacks
Custom Ceramic Poker Set 1000 1,000 Clubs, several tables and tournaments

Good to know: from 300 chips there are no production costs, and you can choose the number of chips per design yourself. Check the product page for the current price in your currency.

Tips for a great custom chip design

  • Use strong contrast. A light logo on a dark chip, or the other way around, stays readable across the table.
  • Make values big and clear. Players should be able to read a stack at a glance, so keep the value large and avoid thin fonts.
  • Give every value its own colour. Follow the usual order, light colours for low values and dark colours for high values.
  • Upload a sharp logo. Use PNG, JPG, SVG or WEBP of at least 600 × 600 px, preferably with a transparent background.
  • Use your brand colours. Enter the exact HEX code so the chips match your club or company style.
  • Keep it simple. A chip is small. One logo and one line of text usually look better than a busy design.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom poker chips?

Custom ceramic poker chips can be ordered from 10 chips. Custom clay and clay composite sticker chips start at 1,000 chips.

Can the front and back have a different design?

Yes. Both sides show the same design by default, and for a small extra per chip the back gets its own design.

How long does it take to make custom poker chips?

For ceramic chips, production and delivery take about 15 working days (estimated), depending on the order size and design. Express shipping is available. Clay and clay composite chips take 15 to 20 working days.

Can I order more chips later?

Yes. We store your design files, so you can reorder the same chips at any time.

Are custom ceramic chips good enough for a casino?

Our custom chips are made of casino-grade ceramic, and you can add a UV security stamp from 300 chips. For casinos and orders of 5,000 chips or more, we make a quote on request.

Our advice: start with your logo and your values

Begin with two things: a sharp logo and a list of the chip values you need. For a home game, 300 to 500 ceramic chips with two or three values is usually perfect. Clubs and tournaments do well with 500 to 1,000 chips and a UV stamp, and only very large orders call for clay or clay composite. Not sure about the chip mix yet?
